Community Says Thank You to Hospital Workers

The Rev. Andrew Farley of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church and Rhonda Coleman put together boxed meals for Bartow Regional Medical Center staff

The smell of food grilling outdoors filled the parking lot at Bartow Regional Medical Center this past week. It was an effort to thank those on the front line who are risking their own and health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Toward that effort, Stefon Hawthorne and Kyng Curry manned the grills while Lisa Link busied herself supplying the two with a steady stream of raw hamburger patties and hot dogs.

"We should have enough to feed over 250 people," Link said.
