Estimated 100+ Attend Solemn Assembly Despite Rain

According to Richard Dreyer, who is with the Community Relations Committee, for many years pastors of Bartow churches, along with others, have worked toward the issue of race relations in the city. While there has been some success, the pastors felt they have had a burden; especially given the recent events of George Floyd's death in Minneapolis, which has led to peaceful protests, some that have been hijacked by both rioting and looting, leading to further tensions and reactions of further police transgressions and acts of brutality captured on video and posted to social media.
