Family members take a final view of Ken Riley as his body lies in repose.

An estimated 200+ people, a number of whom were athletes when Ken Riley was the head football coach at his alma mater, FAMU, paid their final respects and tributes at his funeral this past Saturday, June 13, which was held at the RP Funding Center in Lakewood. Riley, a Bartow native, died Sunday, June 7, from a massive heart attack at the age of 72.

From their hearts to their lips to the ears and hearts of others, person after person spoke of the impact Ken Riley had upon them, starting with the Rev. Reginal T. Webb, pastor of New Bethel Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, Tampa.
