A series of online workshops are scheduled from Nov. 16-19 to involve citizens in planning for the city's future.
The City of Bartow is interested in undertaking a master planning effort that is both citywide, as well as targeted around several key focus areas. One of the key drivers for the project is the relationship and possibilities for downtown, the adjacent residential neighborhoods, connective corridors and the expanded suburban growth areas, with a desire for increased employment / job growth while enhancing overall community character.
The kickoff workshop will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16 with a presentation by consultants from the Community Solutions Group, followed from noon to 1 p.m. by an interactive exercise.
Day Two on Nov. 17 will include an open studio collaborative session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. via the ZOOM online platform.
Day Three on Nov. 18 will offer a second open studio collaborative ZOOM session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The closing workshop, with a presentation by consultants, will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.
Interested persons can register at https://www.bartowplan.com/, where they also can review a kickoff presentation, read a technical memo and access a focus group package.
